Family Reunification

Holders of a Red-White-Red Card may bring their family members to Austria, provided that the requirements for family reunification are met.

The application may either be submitted together with the application for the Red-White-Red Card or separately at a later stage after the card has been issued.

Spouses generally receive a Red-White-Red Card Plus, which grants them their own residence and employment rights in Austria. This allows them to take up both employed and self-employed work.

In this way, families have the opportunity to establish their shared centre of life in Austria.
