CHANGE OF WORKPLACE

The Rot-Weiss-Rot-Karte offers foreign skilled workers a work and residence permit in Austria for 24 months with a specific employer.

This card allows you to enter the Austrian labor market on condition that you are employed by the employer approved in the application. However, the existing work permit will expire if the employer ceases to operate or the employee leaves the company. In such cases, the applicant has to re-apply for a change of job with a new employer in the same occupational field.

Job Change Application Requirements

Occupation Matching

The applicant's specialization must be listed in the current Austrian list of occupations with labor shortages .

Scoring

The applicant must score at least 55 points according to the criteria set by the Austrian authorities.

Suitable Job Position

The new employer must offer a job position that matches the applicant's vocational training.

Fair Remuneration

The employer must employ the applicant in accordance with the terms of the collective bargaining agreement at a wage commensurate with his/her vocational training and experience
