In order to practice a profession in Austria, you need to have an appropriate vocational training certificate. In order for your application process to proceed smoothly, it is very important to know whether the certificate you have is recognized by Austria.

Occupational Equivalence (Nostrification) May Be Required

In some professions, it is mandatory to officially recognize foreign education in Austria. This recognition process is called nostrification. Especially in health, education and some technical professions, nostrification may be required.
